Can you Overdose on THC

If you’re someone who has a bit of cannabis, sometimes too much.  You may also experience this if you accidentally eat an edible thinking that they’re normal brownies. Maybe you think you’re going to overdose. The good news is, you can’t actually overdose on weed, in the way that you might with alcohol or other harmful drugs.

The truth about Cannabis Overdose

This is something that’s not straight across the board for each person, and it’s something that people do wonder about. Overall, whether or not you can overdose on cannabis, ultimately depends on the person that you ask. If you talk to someone that’s old fashioned, they might think that you can, and they say it should be banned.  In a way, it’s ridiculous though, since opioids, something more people are addicted to, along with fentanyl and the like, are considered schedule 2 types of substances.

This is something that’s super weird, since the government thinks that weed is much more dangerous than fentanyl, and this is something that makes no sense, considering the 16K and more overdoses that happen every single year. It’s considered bad, but because of our archaic laws, it’s not as bad as you might think.

Has anyone Died from cannabis?

This is something that people do wonder, if they've taken too much of this and then died. But according to the CDC, nobody died from cannabis consumption.

However, some people may die from mixing these with alcohol and cocaine or something. Or they might have underlying issues related to their health that cause them to pass on.  This is a situation where people list cannabis as a contributor possibly, but it’s not the primary cause of death.

Can you take too much?

Yes, it’s possible to take too much of a dose. This can happen if physically you’re not built to handle a dosage like this, and the side effects of this can be a bit unbearable for you.  While it’s rare, usually overdose causes the heart rate to increase, some higher blood pressure, hallucinations, paranoia, and delusions and the like. It’s best if you don’t mix drugs and alcohol together with this, since it can cause cardiac arrest if you’re already predisposed to heart concerns.

If you’re someone who is worried about this, you might want to watch out on how you take these, because there are a lot of times where you think you’ve got enough, but it’s too much. In general, it’s best if you start off slow, and try not being mindful with edibles. While they take longer to take effect, there is a chance you might have too much, and this can make you feel like you’re going crazy, and other unsavory factors as well.

Edibles and highs

The best thing to remember is that, when you’re taking edibles, you want to go slow with them. take one, wait a bit. If nothing changes, you may want to have another bit, and you might feel these effects.

Sometimes, the rare instance happens where you feel great, but then they start to be way too much.  The effects can become unbearable for you to handle. In general, you can take a bit too much in terms of edibles, but it won’t make you die.  You just have to be mindful of this.

Being smart about the different types of edibles that you have and also making sure that you know your limit, is the best way for you to make sure that you eat these correctly, and to make sure that you’re able to consume edibles in a safe, effective manner.
