Using Marijuana in your wellness Activities

While everyone’s always trying to do the right thing and take care of their health, whether it be working out, being mindful, or eating right, one cool thing that you can add to this is well, cannabis. Being well and using weed actually goes well together, and you may wonder what kind of items to add to the wellness routine. The beauty of this is that it’s virtually everything, from edibles to creams to even different soluble and flour, so if you want to add it there, you sure can! What are the best ways to add it? Let’s dive in.

Foods and Drinks

Some people may want to have weed without the excess smoking of blunts or snacks. Getting a little buzz however is not a bad thing. One thing that you can do is first thing in the morning, put a little bit of marijuana in your tea or coffee, and you can get one that’s higher in CBD to help with you focusing on what you need to do. It also will help you focus better on your tasks, and help you get through the day in a much better way. You can take this sublingually, add it to drinks, or if you just need it in a snack, you can do this. Something with sativa is the best option for this, since it’ll give you that burst of energy you sure need for a nice, long day.

Working Out

Do you work out? Have you ever tried weed before your workout? Marijuana beforehand can actually help you get better, more rewarding gains. For those who like to vape, a vaping blend with lower THC ratios will help keep the mind nice and open, and may even prolong the workout, since this can help with the time altering that happens in the brain.

Vaping is also not too hard on the longs, and if you practice yoga or meditation, this can really give you a great workout. For hardcore people who love the gym, get one with some CBD in it to help with it, along with sativa. Cannabis is great for inflammation, so you won’t feel as in pain after a workout as you may normally do, and it helps with muscle recovery once you finish the workout, so you’re not as sore after a harder workout.

Massages

Finally, you can get a massage. After a rough day, or a strenuous workout, you may want to figure out good ways to relax. You may want a massage. Massages are good for everything from headaches to anxiety, to even bodily pain and whatnot. Marijuana is actually something that is really good for this. You have balms and creams which go directly on the skin to help, body oils you can massage directly in to help with this, bath bombs to really relax, and CBD patches to target certain areas and help with this.

If you have chronic pain, this can help to reduce this pain, boosting your relaxation, and the beauty of these oils and creams is that it offers a nice head high, but also amazing pain relief. These are but a few of the many ways to use cannabis, and if you want to use this every single day, you can! There is no shame in doing so, and a lot of people get the health benefits that are there from it.

If you love to work out, and want to feel better afterwards, consider this, and use this for in-general wellness routines that can help you feel good, and healthier as a result.

Can Cannabis help with Hemorrhoids?

Hemorrhoids are a pain in the butt. Literally. They’re veins which bulges and it can cause itching, pain, and it’s bumpy. You may wonder if cannabis can help. Here’s what we know about them.

So what is it?

They’re known as piles as well, and they’re painful, lumpy sites that do develop near or around your anus, and it’s something that’s not always the most pleasant. They are veins that do carry blood towards the heart, similar to what varicose veins do, swelling and twisted tissues. The difference between hemorrhoids and varicose veins is simply location.

They do swell, and they’re cushions which are veinous.  There is a special part of your anatomy that does sit within your anal canal, and if there is a lot of vascular supply and traffic, this can be displaced.  It’s something that affects millions, about 10% of the overall population. The cause of this is something that is up for debate. High blood pressure, e varicose veins, and even support within the anal tissues starts to break down, which results in displacement, causing them to swell.

There are some risk factors which go with this, including the following:

  • Not enough fiber

  • Pregnancy

  • Obesity

  • Diarrhea or constipation that’s chronic

  • Lifting

  • Straining when you have a bowel movement.

How CBD May help

How does cannabis fit into all of this? Well, it’s something that some people may be confused about, because you can’t expect to rub the herb on your butt of course.  However, there is some data that talks about how cannabis may help with more serious problems, and currently, there isn’t a ton of data.

However, the cannabinoids in this do help with pain, itching, or inflammation, so it may be something that does influence the symptoms that you have as well. Your ECS does regulate different conditions, including your immune response. The plant that holds this name is something that has a bunch of chemicals which are very unique, including terpenes and cannabinoids that influence your biology. But do they impact the hemorrhoids that you have?

Right now, the answer is we do not know, however, there are some ongoing trials that do put them in different models. CBD is something that’s gotten super popular as of late, and it does bind to the receptors, offering affinity, and it also influences the endocannabinoids within the body. when they’re inflamed, they do release a mucus that does cause a condition known as pruritus ani.

Right now, there are some studies that look at this, and at the moment, it’s determining the potential for anti-inflammatory compounds. It also does probe the possible effects of pain and signaling. While a lot of this does focus mostly on neuropathy, there is always those who will look at the possibility of acute discomfort or pain from various patients. While sometimes the outcast may offer psychoactive results, there is a chance that THC may be one of the pain models. Some positive findings in tis may also lead to topical formulas and application, and using it topically may help with the possibility of impacting the mental state of a person.

There are also people testing THC and CBD in order to help with activating the receptors used to reduce the itch. At this time, there is no specific conclusion from this especially if you’re looking for the correct answer. Preventing this is really the best thing to do, it there is a chance that cannabis may be the promising product that those who have hemorrhoids can use to treat it.

Psychedelics or Cannabis?

Oftentimes, we are left to choose between one or the other. Either psychedelics, or cannabis, depending on the high that you get. Getting high is definitely pertaining to both, and many people associate cannabis with deviant activities, but the restrictions have since changed, with many people using both of these to help with different concerns that are there.

From Gateway Drug to Medication Therapy for the future

This is becoming more and more of a therapy, and those who use psychedelics are doing it less to get high, but also to help with the treatment of various mood disorders. Some people see either cannabis, psychedelics, or sometimes to manage their moods. Our brains do use the psychoactive substances, which interrupts the function of these neurotransmitters. These pathways help with communicating, processing, and regulating the signals used to improve the brain and bodily function.

Cannabis does have different cannabinoids which are used to treat the receptors in the body and brain, activating, modulating, or stimulating this. While the addiction center does get altered b both weed and psychedelics, they are stimulated much more by more specific types of addictive substances, and this can alter and change the functions within your body.

That is why too long of use of any of these substances can actually create major issues with the body, while also creating more susceptibility to the compulsion and addiction of this.

Cannabis on neuroplasticity

Right now, there are very few studies that show this, but it does have an effect that’s neurogenesis, which means more new brain cells, and it’s short-lasting in most cases. Some people do confuse the cannabis you have for a psychedelic, but it is a bit misclassified, since it can help with the dark moods, those thoughts that are depressing, and other mood issues. Marijuana could be a good way to help with mental health concerns, especially PTSD, as the symptoms of this do get improved with the proper treatment of THC and CBD compounds, especially when compared to smaller amounts as well.

What about psychedelics

Psychedelics can actually help with mood disorders too, as they can improve the neuroplasticity, improve cognitive functions, and alleviate anxiety and depression. The moderation of this does play a role in this.

Psychiatrics have a good, restorative benefit to the brain, offering new, enhanced pathways to regulate the processing and the communication. Because of the effects of this, currently, there is some people wo are looking to use this. It can possibly be a way to help offer a promising potential.

From Addiction to Pleasure

Both psychedelics and cannabis do disrupt your pleasure and reward systems, as they can make you feel good. The higher the dopamine amounts are, the stronger the addiction can be. Dopamine being the main neurotransmitter is something that can actually help with recollection, memory, and enhance the behavioral issues.

However, larger influences of the dopamine can rewire your brain, and you may look for the chemical instead of perceiving the life that you have. That’s why it’s important that, if you do decide to utilize this to help with the substance addiction, you create simple, coping skills with this. There is a risk of addiction, but it’s important to make sure that you don’t use this just to alter your moods.

There is a chance that it can help with this, but for the best results, and getting the results that you want with this, you should consult a medical professional before you do this, as psychedelics can be quickly addictive if you’re not careful, and that does lead to trouble for some users down the line.

How long does CBD Stay in the System?

If you’re someone who is curious about how long cannabinoids stay in your body, you’re not alone. We know  that THC has a specific type of life in your body and exists for a certain period of time but what about CBD? Well it’s a little bit different , and we’ll discuss the metabolizing of CBD, and how long this can stay within  the system, depending on the type of person that you are.

How long can it Stay?

This varies, but in general, it stays for up to 7 days, and usually, metabolized at around  10 mg a day based on the dosage, so it can be up to 21 days for those who are heavy users. It does get affected based on the method of delivery, your personal metabolism, how much you use it, the dosage ,and also the age. When you’re older you metabolize things slower, including drugs and CBD. There are also other factors too such as lifestyle, and other drugs that might interact with it.

Usually, you feel these effects quite quickly, but unlike THC which intoxicates you, CBD is a bit different, and it’s much slower with a better sense of happiness and overall well-being as well.

Methods and time

There are also differences based on the methods of delivery, and how you have them. For instance, with flowers, you can feel this up to 20 minutes after you have it, and they last a few hours. It’s pretty quick, and effective. Oral of course is slower, but peaks around a few hours, and for CBD, it typically lasts for up to 6 hours or more. It's got low bioavailability, so it’s not that fast.

Then there is delivery by the nose. It’s fast, and it’s definitely a good alternative to those who use oral types of sprays, and usually, you only need a little bit in order to feel these effects, so a little goes a long way for a lot of users. Fully you’ve got the edibles types, and they usually are quite slow, but they can provide long-term relief, especially if you’re in pain. There is a low bioavailability, but it does work. Usually, you have to just look at the type of product to figure it out, but there are also other factors too. The higher the dosage, the quicker it tends to be metabolized, which is pretty good for feeling those effects.

CBD and Testing

Some people may wonder a little bit about using CBD for drug tests, or if it’s detected. It can be, but usually that doesn’t mean that you’ll fail it, depending on the situation that’s there. CBD does like to store itself within the fat molecules, so if you have a higher BMI, there is a chance that you will get a higher amount of CBD within a longer period of time.

This is also due to the solubility of the lipids, which is a fancy word for how it manages to dissolve within the fats, and also the volume of this. So do you need to worry? Well, if it’s only CBD then no, don’t worry about that. But if you’re someone who also uses  THC products, then you will run into the issue of possible positives from this, and if you take a whole lot of CBD, this can also trigger a false positive.

Overall, if you absolutely need to use it, then talk to your doctor about this, and see if they can make accommodations for you, and the needs you have as well.
