All About hemp Wicks

Do you ever think about how you’ve lit up your cannabis? This may be strange, but while some people like hemp paper and hemp trays for rolling, there is another cool thing that you can do. Instead of butane, you just use a hemp wick, to light the bowls and blunts.

The types

Before we talk about how to use it, there are different types. We have ones that are made from fibers that are natural, and then has a coating of beeswax on top. This helps burn the candle in a gentle, even manner, creating an effect similar to a candle. There are hemp balls, which are basically candles in the shape of a big ball, so users can unravel this to us to burn the produce.

There are cylinders, which are basically what most people are used to. You just take the wick out and slowly pull this. You have the standard ones. This is something that also comes in a thin form, which means that it’s a flame that’s smaller, but this burns a lot faster, and it’s a little more accurate compared to what’s put on the joint and blunt ends.

You’ve also got the thick kind, which basically makes a flame that’s larger, is a bit heavier in your hand, and also will ignite bowls that are large quickly, and it works well on cones that are thick. Finally, we have lighter sleeves, which basically are small hemp reels that wick near the basic. They create a shell where the Bic lighters put themselves, and then, it wicks next to the outlet, and basically, you can use this with one hand, which is kind of convenient too.

How to use this

You’ve been curious probably about how to use it. Wouldn’t it be easier to just light it with a match or lighter? This is basically something that people assume is just another step.  Whether you use the flame from a lighter, you’re taking in combusted smoke and butane, other chemicals, and this can harm your heart, lungs, and the brain, and it also does detract the terpene taste too.  Matches also have glue and other parts.

This contains beeswax and hemp, and basically, this is just getting rid of the chemicals that are there. To use it, it just involves four simple steps . First, you may need to unwrap the wick, which is usually in a cylinder or balls. Take a large part of this to move this in one place. You want to make sure as well, that this doesn’t get hit by the wind.

Light up one end of this.  This is different because if it’s burnt for a bit, the butane is then gone. From there, you can then add this to bowls and joints. Since this is coated in beeswax, it’s rigid, so it won’t sag a little bit.  You can move the flame of this to the bowl top or the joint top, and then, do it the same way you would with matches or a lighter.  You can also keep the wick on and burning if you’re using a pipe between each hit.

Once you’ve got the joint burning or the bowl is empty, you don’t want to waste this, and you basically extinguish all of this simple by squeezing it between your fingers or through blowing this out with your mouth.  You want to make sure that it’s fully cooled before you wrap this up and then put it away again.

And there you have it, a hemp wick and the uses of this, and why it’s great for cannabis consumers!

How Dissolved Oxygen Helps Hydroponic Gardens

Dissolved oxygen is something that is basically oxygen that can look at the different saturation within the water. It’s important to understand that the stronger the oxygen levels are within the water, the better off a plant will be. Remember, water involves oxygen, so if you have an oxygen atom in there, you’ve got two different hydrogen ones, which creates a water molecule. So you might wonder how It’s even possible for there to be more oxygen in there.

This is similar in a sense to chocolate milk. Think about it, if you put chocolate in there, you shake it, there you go, you’ve got chocolate milk. If you add more, it’s still chocolate milk, although it might taste richer too. Water that’s moving about is a healthy kind of water. If you do have air exposed to this, the oxygen gets in there. Stagnant water is actually not good water, since it doesn’t have the oxygen in there, and instead it’s replaced with bacteria that are anaerobic, which can cause a variety of different issues.

The importance of Extra Oxygen

When you want to grow good cannabis plants, you definitely want to consider extra oxygen that gets in the water. Do you need it? No, but if you want plants that are healthier, are bigger and actually are productive, this is something to consider. Oxygen that dissolves is basically the first defense line against the anerobic bacteria that is responsible for root rot, since it helps with the growing of roots, makes them more dense, improves the root hairs which are definitely a huge part of the intake of water, since the intake in it of itself is responsible for a lot of oxygen consumption.

With more and more oxygen atoms being availible, it impacts the nutrient uptake. Oxygen roots that are deprived don’t actually have many options, other than to substituted with the different compounds, creating ethylene, which then causes damage to your tools, and is responsible for disease of the plant. If you don’t have enough oxygen, it causes a deficiency in calcium, so you may wonder why you may try to even use calcium and magnesium on this, and it’s still doing nothing.

How to add this

Some people have started to create different ways to utilize dissolved oxygen to help generate the growth and benefits of microbes that are beneficial, help with preventing the proliferation of different anerobic molecules, and also pushing for good, healthy growth of roots.

What do you do to add this though? You’ve got a few ways. If you have a holding tank or reservoir, it’s as simple as dropping the tablets into there.  You can also use recirculating pumps to help with circulating the air, and also reducing ozone in this. Another popular technique is to utilize fluming. While air stones create buttles near the bottom of a reservoir, fluming is what increases the calcium dissolved.

This is done by creating a disturbance near the surface. Basically, you use a pump and a water chiller, to lower the temperature of you water, and increases the capacity of the oxygen held. Once water gets pushed out, it then flows down back into your pipes, and then back out into the reservoir location that’s above where the water surface is. Whenever it breaks the water’s surface, it lets oxygen penetrate, get into the solution, and it helps with the air stones too.

Regardless, s using the dissolved oxygen is a great way to boost your plant’s health and is something that more and more people are looking at especially when trying to boost the health of their plants.

What Cannabidiol Is

Cannabidiol is something that’s gotten super popular in the last couple of years. The 2018 farm bill put it on the map, but many people don’t know what CBD, or cannabidiol is.  What can it help with? Well, you’ll be happy to know that there are a ton of health benefits, and this is something that's become even more widely recognized in the last few years.

The Endocannabinoid Receptors

CBD is something that’s considered a cannabinoid, which is basically a fancy name for a chemical that's in the cannabis plant. CBD has been a hot topic of study, even since the beginning of the 1940s, but the last few decades have been where the big strides are at, including the EDS and the body’s regulation. Your ECS is vital for the functions of the body, including your immunity, and also reducing inflammation.

Everyone has an ECS, and most people don’t even realize that it’s there. the role is still being studied, but the influence this has had on your endocannabinoid system has started to become more prevalent. CBD is great for inflammation, pain, and the reduction of such.

How CBD Works

CBD is one that's carried directly through your body through some fatty acid proteins that offer our natural cannabinoids that we make inside. Cannabidiol actually works with a lot of the receptors that aren’t cannabinoids and they basically help to control the messages of your brain and body, which is not similar to how the social media algorithms work on the social media feeds. They make you feel less and see less of those different pain signals that are there.

How it Works on the brain

So what can CBD do on the brain? The CBD that you consume has over 65 different targets in the body, and these molecules either inhibit, enhance, or they interact with this in some way, so the signals then get transmitted in different ways that they may not otherwise do so. this means that CBD can work similar to antidepressants or pain medications in some people.

You can look at the brain and imagine it to be similar to a big soundboard, where CBD turns both te volume up and down, depending on the signals that leave the body, improving the response emotionally, and the pain that’s there too. Right now, as more and more researches do explore what this is, and how it interacts with your endocannabinoid receptors, you can also look at the different ways that this can help.

What CBD Can Do

There are tons of things that CBD can do for the body. Right now, there is legitimate research which proves that CBD is great for neurological health.  If you have epilepsy, it’s been proven to be a good way to reduce seizures and help with this. Plus, CBD is also good for pain and inflammatory concerns that are there. so if you have pain from working out, or in general pain, you can benefit from this.

It also works with PTSD, cancer, and a whole lot of other symptoms. You can even use this to help with improving your sleep schedule and getting better sleep. It’s one that a lot of people who have anxiety do turn to, as it’s considered one of the best anti-anxiety holistic measures that are out there.

Basically, CBD is really good for a variety of aspects of the body, and as more and more information comes out from this, and the different types of ways for you to use it, you’ll be able to see for yourself just what this can do for you.

What’s Live Cannabis?

Cannabis is something that’s really good for people.  While food companies use frozen meals, freezing everything to low-level temperatures to improve the shelf life, it uses cold chain to help freeze everything and then keeps it frozen until everything is thawed out to be consumed.

Cannabis can do the same thing, allowing for cultivators to keep their harvest nice and fresh for a longer time period, to help create new cannabis items, retaining the flavonoids, and also keeps the terpenes and cannabinoids strong in this, which is lost when it tries out.

What is Live Cannabis

This is something that you might be less familiar with. Those that you get at dispensaries are dried cannabis, which are later cured. When you dry and cure it, it makes it smell more, which creates a better smoking moment for a lot of people.

Live cannabis is a bit different. Basically, this gets frozen at a very cold temperature of -38 degrees, and this keeps the preserves, offers a terpene profile, and its what we call live. The compounds including the cannabinoids, flavonoids, and terpenes are still there, and it’s something that’s done super quickly to ensure that it’s not degrading either.

Why use this?

There are tons of benefits that come with this, which are of course worth learning about, and they offer a variety of benefits you may not get anywhere else. Plus, when you retain the flavonoids, it increases the profile, and offers more compounds to smell and taste better, offering full-spectrum cannabis and various products.

These are called full spectrum products, or whole plant, which contain everything in there. The products have medicinal parts of them, and this is part of the beneficial terpenes, flavonoids, and also the cannabinoids in this, helping patients get pain relief, better sleep, and more creativity.

This also offers the entourage effect, which is basically the reaction of your terpenes, flavonoids, cannabinoids, along with the fatty acids there. This is all there, and when it’s all manipulated through combining all of these different parts, it creates affects you want, and the treatment for different illnesses too.

Extraction methods used

There are different ways to use this for extractions, including solvent and solventless types of ways to do this. Live rosin is one, and this is something that uses ice water kinds of extraction, where the cannabis s live, put in soaking water that’s ice cold, and then, it causes the trichomes to break off from the rest of the plant matter, with the rest of the product dried in something called bubble hash, which is later on processed with just pressure and heat. With just water that’s freezing, pressure, and heat, it offers solventless products.

Live badder is another kind of extraction, which uses hydrocarbons and different solvents that are made up of just carbon and hydrogen, and this is something that also uses isobutane, butane, propane, and this combination does happen. it begins with the flash freezing way to use it, and then, from there the flower gets washed in this solvent, and the rest of this is then taken out to create the extract.

This also causes different textures, and it’s crafted in a way to be like whipping cream, making it nice and creamy for the users to enjoy. These are but two of the many ways to do this, and the beauty of it, is that it contains everything, but also keeps it in a way that’s ultimately very strong, giving you a truly remarkable cannabis experience that you will love, and one that’s strong as well too.

Can Cannabis help with Hemorrhoids?

Hemorrhoids are a pain in the butt. Literally. They’re veins which bulges and it can cause itching, pain, and it’s bumpy. You may wonder if cannabis can help. Here’s what we know about them.

So what is it?

They’re known as piles as well, and they’re painful, lumpy sites that do develop near or around your anus, and it’s something that’s not always the most pleasant. They are veins that do carry blood towards the heart, similar to what varicose veins do, swelling and twisted tissues. The difference between hemorrhoids and varicose veins is simply location.

They do swell, and they’re cushions which are veinous.  There is a special part of your anatomy that does sit within your anal canal, and if there is a lot of vascular supply and traffic, this can be displaced.  It’s something that affects millions, about 10% of the overall population. The cause of this is something that is up for debate. High blood pressure, e varicose veins, and even support within the anal tissues starts to break down, which results in displacement, causing them to swell.

There are some risk factors which go with this, including the following:

  • Not enough fiber

  • Pregnancy

  • Obesity

  • Diarrhea or constipation that’s chronic

  • Lifting

  • Straining when you have a bowel movement.

How CBD May help

How does cannabis fit into all of this? Well, it’s something that some people may be confused about, because you can’t expect to rub the herb on your butt of course.  However, there is some data that talks about how cannabis may help with more serious problems, and currently, there isn’t a ton of data.

However, the cannabinoids in this do help with pain, itching, or inflammation, so it may be something that does influence the symptoms that you have as well. Your ECS does regulate different conditions, including your immune response. The plant that holds this name is something that has a bunch of chemicals which are very unique, including terpenes and cannabinoids that influence your biology. But do they impact the hemorrhoids that you have?

Right now, the answer is we do not know, however, there are some ongoing trials that do put them in different models. CBD is something that’s gotten super popular as of late, and it does bind to the receptors, offering affinity, and it also influences the endocannabinoids within the body. when they’re inflamed, they do release a mucus that does cause a condition known as pruritus ani.

Right now, there are some studies that look at this, and at the moment, it’s determining the potential for anti-inflammatory compounds. It also does probe the possible effects of pain and signaling. While a lot of this does focus mostly on neuropathy, there is always those who will look at the possibility of acute discomfort or pain from various patients. While sometimes the outcast may offer psychoactive results, there is a chance that THC may be one of the pain models. Some positive findings in tis may also lead to topical formulas and application, and using it topically may help with the possibility of impacting the mental state of a person.

There are also people testing THC and CBD in order to help with activating the receptors used to reduce the itch. At this time, there is no specific conclusion from this especially if you’re looking for the correct answer. Preventing this is really the best thing to do, it there is a chance that cannabis may be the promising product that those who have hemorrhoids can use to treat it.

Can Cannabis Help with Studying

Sometimes, hitting the books isn’t easy, and you may want a little boost to help with studying. That’s where cannabis comes in. Cannabis has a lot of benefits, and it can help immensely with studying. That isn’t to say that there aren’t drawbacks though. Learn the pros and cons for both, especially when you use this to help with studying better.

The Benefits

There are some benefits to utilizing cannabis to help with studying. Higher levels of energy is something that’s common, and you might feel like you have all the energy in the world. Green Crack, and Super Silver Haze are really good to help with sedative effects. You should go for strains that are higher in limonene than myrcene and try to avoid those with linalool and humulene if you want to also get the pepped up effects to help with studying.

It also boosts your focus. If you have a strain that’s high in CBD, it can help with focusing better. However, r some people feel a bit more fatigued when they use this, especially in bigger doses, and CBD is oftentimes used to naturally aid with sleep. It also is really good for creativity. One of the best for this is actually anything with a sativa touch to it.  One study actually found that in the article, the dosage that you take can assist with focusing, boosting studies, and also improving conversations and offering a better way to trigger the ideas that you have.

The Drawbacks

While cannabis is good in some cases for studying, there are a few drawbacks and some risk that go on with this.

The first, is fatigue. For some, cannabis is great for relaxing. If you start to feel sleepy when you use this, then it may not be good for you to use for studying. Indica for example is usually considered to be a strain that calms you, but some people can even fall asleep if they have a larger amount of a strain that relaxes, including Hindu Kush and cannatonic.

There is also the possibility of memory loss in the short-term, especially if you’re smoking a lot of this. It can cayuse some short-term memory issues especially with executive function, working memory, or anything which requires you to use thought that’s conscious.

This is because cannabis can disrupt the memory and thought process, which means that it does impede some study sessions. Psychoactive chemicals that come with this that attach to different cannabinoid sections may also play a role in the thoughts and the impressions of this. However, the negative effects usually are mitigated if you take strains that are higher in CBD and contain the terpene pinene to help with this.

Finally, there is anxiety, and fidgeting, also quite common in some cases, and it’s something that happens if you take too high of a THC strain, which makes it hard for people to sit and finish the tasks, and some people do notice that their heart begins to race, and you may not want that, since it can make you agitative, and fidget more.

The best way to look at this is to go for strains that are low in THC, high in CBD, and also pay attention to the terpene that are in this. By doing this, you can minimize the side effects of this and help you get the full benefits of THC and cannabis from this, and you may be able to take your study session to the next level through the use of cannabis when studying as well.
